Dumb, Dumber, and Just Plain Incompetent

Usability Testing. It’s really hard to stay objective.

One moment, you’re thinking, “what an idiot…”

The next moment, subject A comes out with a really good idea — something simple and obvious.

And then this one guy is so pissed off.  The moderator starts avoiding him…

whoo boy!

850 / Turkey Day on Friday

Nov
21st, 2007

850 miles by the time I get home today. That should set me up good for hitting 1000 miles by the end of December.

Turkey Day will be on Friday this year as we are flying down to FLA thursday and getting in late. Whatever.

More shameless details about my curmudgeonly personality:

  1. I hate travelling
  2. I’m lazy and very selfish
  3. I would rather stay home and snuggle with the pug
  4. I’m a poor sport
  5. November is the month of my birthday, but as a month I think it sucks
  6. I think it’s fair to say I have seasonal affective disorder
  7. unfortunately, that covers most seasons in my case
  8. I like riding my bike very quickly (27 mph feels good) in the dark — it’s exciting

In other news, I’m reading Dhalgren by Samuel Delaney. It’s good, but slippery. From the reviews over at GoodReads, it seems like people either love it or hate it. Me, I’m reading it because I think it makes me look cool carrying it around…

damnit. thought I’d make it to 800 miles this morning. shoulda ridden around for a couple more minutes, but I was late for work a bit.

I need to crank out 50 miles by next wednesday, then 150 in December to wrap up the year.
