200 — Phew!

Now I can relax a bit. I might call in sick tomorrow. In fact, you might say I’m feeling committed to doing so.
I knocked down the last 10 miles tonight, then had the following mixture, partially on Emily’s advice (my mother kept telling me how my grandfather made her one once when she was a youngster with a wicked cold):
- Tazo Lotus Tea
- Lots of honey
- 1 oz. Scotch (an ancient bottle of Cutty Sark from my other grandfather’s house — still clear and smelled fine…)
- a bit of lemon
Rather good I must say. I could get used to it… I’ve never been much for the hard liquor — more of a beer and wine two can Sam. Also had a good shot of Robitussin to break up the winter crud.
Now, if I only had some cinnamon toast. Or, some homemade chocolate chip cookies and big glass of milk…
Aren’t you glad you dropped by to check up on my health?

I believe it is REQUIRED you be sick today. And the Hereford Zone closed and my driveway is a sheet of ice so I might be taking a “persona” day today…
Hope you are feeling BETTER!

You are correct! It will be a robitussin/mucinex day for me!

That does sound tasty, and today is a good day for such a mixture. It’s nasty in Charm City today:)

So… how is that working out for you?

hmm? I just got off the couch. slept most of the morning. Jen took Olivia to the library then to chipotle to buy some anti-bacterial and anti-viral burritos.
Natalie slept on my chest for an hour, then woke up, cried, and blew her nose on my shirt several times.
That necessitated movement and action.
Mucinex is the only cold medicine I ever take. Usually after 2 days of taking it full strength, the congestion in the chest starts to break up and leave. I’ve only taken one dose so far, so we’ll just have to wait and see (my mantra)…

To quote the Smiths:
“The rain falls hard on a humdrum town
This town has dragged you down”
I’ll be just doing Mucinex now that I have it. It’s basically the same as Robitussin, just more concentrated… and you avoid the icky syrupy taste…
